The Artist's Retreat

We’d like to introduce Valerie Unruh at The Artist’s Retreat, located at 925 W. Main St., Ste B, Collinsville.

The Artist's Retreat opened in July 2020. Valerie’s mission is to provide a creative outlet for people of all ages. Valerie started the business because art and helping others is her passion.

Valerie states, “Art has a way of healing the soul and giving purpose to those that are hurting. I think people should explore creative things that speak to their hearts and minds. It could be art, dance, music, yoga, etc. Find what really speaks to you and run with it! Find something that makes you happy! … Collinsville has a unique downtown structure that allows a variety of amazing entrepreneurs do what they do best...follow their passions!”

The Artist's Retreat offers children’s and adult art and creative classes Monday through Saturday. These classes provide one-on-one, step-by-step teaching, as well as a calm and relaxing atmosphere to learn and have fun. There is also a sharing art museum outside, where artists can create a small piece of artwork (no larger than 2"x3") for the museum and take a piece that someone else created.

For more information on The Artist’s Retreat, you can visit their website at www.theartistsretreat.com, send an email to info@theartistsretreat.com, or call Valerie at 918-335-8318. You can also visit her Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/theartistsretreat/.
